English Movie Project

For my English class this semester we had a group assignment to synthesize a few essays that we had read previously. The point of the assignment was to find a correlation between the essays and then share the common theme in a video that we had created. My group chose three essays entitled, "Is Google Making Us Stupid?" by Nicholas Carr, "Diagnosing and Treating the Ophelia Syndrome," by Thomas G. Plummer, and "Corn-Pone Opinions," by Mark Twain. Each essay had the underlying theme of learning to think for yourself. In our class my professor always says the phrase, "Fair enough,"so we thought we would make it funny by making his phrase the one that everyone starts saying. As the movie goes along, we realize that saying your own phrase is better because then you actually have to think for yourself.
